A scary thought

The crude oil future has dropped from $58 to $50 that is supposed to help the bullish case and we are supposed to rally hard. Instead market has been grinded down everyday. Now my question is what will bring market up? Strong earnings? What if we don't get strong earnings? And how strong is strong? Just some food for thought.
